I Live With Mom

My life’s not so pathetic, I live with my mom

Pouria in Korea

So…I’m going to South Korea.  We all knew this day would happen.  All my life I’ve been using the “Hi, I’m Pouria.  Like Korea but with a P.”  It was only a matter of time before the Koreans tried to collect on royalties they’ve been owed.  Here is the plan:

Here is what’s on tap for this weekend

I am pretty excited for this weekend. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything that is bad for the soul since Ramadan started. A lot of sin wandered through my synapses as I sat at home and did nothing. But now I am doing stuff and it’s going to be a pretty busy weekend.

Man, the Koreans do not like to leave anything to the imagination

Pretty crazy

Pretty crazy

I don’t know if you guys watch Korean movies, but you should.  If you haven’t checked out The Host then do yourself a favor, check it out.  This is an awesome movie about the Korean war from the perspective of two South Korean brothers.  The scenes are so graphic it’s almost like a zombie flick.  Gotta love them Koreans.

Pre-Thanksgiving Invite

So ummm…I don’t know if anyone else is feeling it yet but Thanksgiving is coming up soon.  That means that pre-thanksgiving must be sooner.  I am putting out the call right now for all my west coast homies, who’s interested in doing another pre-thanksgiving this year?

If you don’t know Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday ever because it is a time when a feast is had. Why not enjoy this feast twice a year? Hell why not three?

Let’s do it up this year, who’s down?

Here’s some highlights from previous years:

Relax, yeesh.

What is it with people and superstition?

I am going to warn you, this post makes absolutely no sense. It’s nonsense. I am doing it so I can get back to writing again. My thoughts are not formed, nor planned, though they have a slight theme. Anyways, for the two people that read this, sorry.

9/9/09. Who gives a fuck?

“It only happens once a century.” So fucking what? Does that even mean anything? Just because some numbers show up on a wall during your lifespan suddenly I have to care about it and smile and be socially acceptable?

Rescue Me

From the conception of this show I wanted to dislike. Verily, I did dislike it. I wouldn’t pay attention to it. Whenever I saw an ad for it I would think to myself, “What a stupid fucking show.”

A very good way to measure a shows worth is if it has one of the following characteristics: you watch 5 seasons in less than a week, you stay up all night watching episode after episode, you make audible noises at the plot twists, or it makes you relate.

Rescue Me has all of these characteristics.  Plus the characters pretty much rule.

An ongoing new blog series: Things I recommend

So I’ve been reading, watching, and playing a lot of good things these past few months.  When one falls across good things they often want to share it with their peers.  The main motivation of said sharing is not important, although for full disclosure mine is ego/boasting.

I’ve been wanting to start a regular series where I share information about cool comics, books, music, an tv shows.  Then the two or three people that read my blog will also know about these cool ass things and maybe eduficate themselves about it.

The things I recommend won’t show up in any specific order, more on the order of my whims.  Since I am currently watching The Sandbaggers that is what I will tell you about.

Ramadan…nearly half over

I’ve been ruminating over what my next blog post was going to be about.  I would constantly become passionate about some subject to wax masterbatical about, but very quickly that passion would wither away.

I wanted to give you an update of things that have happened, like me asking out a girl who has a girlfriend.  Or about various aspirations I’ve had and the various pursuits involved with said aspirations. Or even the various food cravings I’ve been having.

None of that really wound me up in such a way to get me writing.  Now I do have something to share.
